Maggie Giles is an award-winning Canadian author who blends suspense, women’s fiction, and thrillers into stories that keep you hooked while making you think. Her debut, The Things We Lost (2022), won a 2023 Independent Press Award as a Distinguished Favorite in Women’s Fiction, and since then she has continued to craft gripping, emotional narratives that balance mystery with deep character growth.

She is the author of the Twisted Truths series (Twisted and Wicked), as well as her standalone thriller The Art of Murder (2025).

Despite living with aphantasia — the inability to picture images in her mind — Maggie dove headfirst into novel writing, proving that imagination isn’t limited to visuals. She now lives in Ontario with her mastiff-mix, Jolene, and finds inspiration outdoors, whether she’s swimming in Georgian Bay, hiking, or skiing in the winter. When she’s not writing, she’s usually immersed in another creative project like knitting, sewing, or cooking.
